Avery Dwarf Adult - Adoption, Rescue
Avery Dwarf Adult - Adoption, Rescue
Apr 26, 2025
Description

Avery was about a year old when he came to us.

He is a handsome dwarf mix with a silver marten otter coat and a Dutch face with blue eyes.

Avery came from a home with small children that mishandled him and as a result learned to be defensive when hands reach toward him.

He settles in to be held and enjoys affection, but he will do better in a home with someone who understands rabbit behavior and without children.

He likes to have a lot of space to run and play.

Avery had a companion and may do well with another rabbit.

If you think you would like to meet Avery, come meet him at our monthly adoption event where all of our fostered rabbits are waiting to find new homes.

Avery is one of our lucky rabbits being cared in a foster home as is looking forward to finding a forever home at one of our monthly adoption events.

If you need more information about rabbits or would like to attend an adoption event, see the information below.

Come meet all of our fabulous foster rabbits!

Because we do not have a shelter to introduce our foster rabbits and our volunteers have limited time to respond to all online inquiries, the best way to meet one of our rabbits is to attend our next adoption day.

Sometimes people bond to a different rabbit in person than the one they choose online.

All rabbits are spayed/neutered (age permitting) and litter box trained. All rabbits are to be adopted to indoor homes only.

Current bunny parents are encouraged to bring their rabbits to adoption clinics if they are interested in adopting a companion rabbit. Your rabbit must be spayed or neutered to be eligible to meet one of our fosters. SHRS volunteers will be happy to help your bunny through that feisty first date.

Everyone is welcome to stop by for conversation, problem-solving and free information!Adoption, Information, Fur and Nail Trimming Clinics:The second Saturday of each month we rotate between the following Petcos from 10:00 am and 3:00 pm (check our calendar to find our where we will be next!):
