I am offering a gem of an instrument. It is a clavichord that is double worried in the treble while being unfretted in the bass. This certain instrument was built in 1970 by John Shortridge. He was a manager at the Smithsonian's historical instrument collection. His instruments are exceptional gallery quality specimen. It is a specific copy of an anonymous German instrument from the early 1700s. It has a 56 note period, and is able to produce a terrific vibrato. The bass features 4' strings which makes the bass more powerful than the majority of clavichords. This really is a rare instrument of superlative quality. It is light weight and quickly transportable. The sound board is broken from it's age, but I have had it thoroughly assessed and at this time it does not make ANY difference to the instruments efficiency and noise. Don't hesitate to call me with any questions. Please, money only. Sold as is, and all sales are final. Thank you!
