This matching numbers 1948 Indian Chief is in good mechanical, running condition. It has a fully restored engine with all new bearings, shafts, crank pin, valves, valve springs, valve guides, pistons and rings.  Transmission has been gone over, new transmission bearings installed, good used OEM slider and transmission drive gear installed.   Tanks, fenders, chainguard, wheels and spokes are original. New wiring harness installed, and all wiring is new.  All electrical components/ circuits work.  Working horn is original.  Speedometer is an original Stewart-Warner and has been rebuilt (cable is new after-market).  This is a smooth riding, easy starting, shifting, and handling Indian Chief motorcycle ready for prep and painting (except foot boards), chroming or installation of after-market chromed parts.Feel free to contact me with questions.  Powerplant has 500 break-in miles since overhaul.
