Abby's story

　　TIMID ABBY AND HER BONDED SISTER EMMA ARE LOOKING FOR AN AMAZING GUARDIAN

　　Abby and her sister Emma lost their family last fall. This pair lived in Georgia until Dad passed away. As in almost every case, the son had no interest in caring for the dogs and wanted them gone. They had 4 homes within 2 -1/2 months with the final family relinquishing them to us

　　We found out the pair were in their own a lot . At one point both dogs were attacked by a pair of dogs causing injuries so severe that one if the pair required surgery in excess of $5000.00. After that event the dogs were never the same according to their groomer.

　　Abby and Emma need a very patient guardian who can slowly gain their trust the pair desperately want love but will likely be timid their entire lives and very slow to connect. We want their adopter to assume they will always be timid and special to work with. They need someone who will cook for them and or include raw in their diet. Beyond the fact it is healthier, they wont eat kibble. Abby and Emma will starve and just knock to bury the bowl upside down. In terms of adopters, they must have a fenced in yard.

Rescue Tails Animal Welfare is a home foster based group. We are all volunteers and work full time. We try to get back to you within 48 hours. We require a completed and approved adoption application and a home visit before we schedule a meet and greet. We cannot manage out of state adoptions and will only adopt to the local Chicago metro area.
