Dodger *WAIVED FEE*'s story

　　Meet Dodger! Dodger is around 3-years-old, currently weighs 45lbs and was originally transferred from a high-volume shelter, then brought to us through another shelter partner. This dude has the most adorable, crooked face that is sure to bring a smile to yours every day! He arrived quite nervous, but has learned to trust and love quickly with a little time. He walks well with or without a harness, warms up quickly to new people with the help of treats and calm introductions, and turns into a total lovebug once he gets to know you. He even waits to go outside to do his business! His favorite caretaker says he believes he's a lap dog, will accept and give loads of kisses and even has this spot behind his ear that gets his leg kicking if you scratch it. He's a total goof and will act like he understands fetch, but really just runs after whatever you throw. He learned sit very quickly and is sure to be a quick master of other commands. At this time, we are still working on finding him a suitable doggie-friend (he just doesn't know how to interact with them); he is reported to be ok with cats (but would do best in a very dog-savvy cat home, if any), and recommend a home with older kids as he prefers calmer energy until he gets to know you. This boy seriously has so much love to give and can't wait to meet his perfect match! Spend time with Dodger today!

　　Dodger is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. He deserves a home without further delay, so his adoption fee has been waived as a thank you from DHA alumni Belle, who was recently found safe and sound with the help of DHA staff and volunteers.

　　He is available for adoption or foster, with the intention to adopt (aka a trial period only offered to select long-term fur kids or medical cases).
