Finn (FCID# 01/14/2019 - 7)'s story
Finn (FCID# 01/14/2019 - 7) was brought into Forgotten Cats from the cold streets of South Philadelphia in January for TNR. Unfortunately, for Finn during his short time at the the clinic, he was sadly one of those cats who was so scared and frightened that he hid at the back of his trap never attempting to engage with any of the workers and volunteers. Unbeknownst to us at the time just how friendly and loving he really was. And sadly, once again Finn was returned back to the cold January streets of Philly.
However, if it was not for the persistence of Finn's feeder asking us to reassess and snap test Finn, this sweet love bug of a cat would still be on the mean streets of Philly. And although Finn is now warm and safe with his foster and his foster's two other cats where they are all enjoying each other's attention and company, Finn tested positive for FIV. But no need to worry because Finn can live a long, healthy and relatively normal life with no symptoms at all. FIV is not easily transmitted and cannot be spread casually through litter boxes, food and water bowls, or snuggling and playing.
He is still very fearful at first when he meets new people even with myself when I first brought him here. I also do not know how he is with dogs, but he is fine with my two other cats although playful I guess because he is still young. Will you please consider giving Finny boy a chance?
