　　ABOUT ME: My name is Harper. I was so scared at the shelter with all the dogs barking, and people I didnt know, so my foster mom took me home. She and Dad gave me plenty of space to get used to them, my new doggy brothers and the new place, and I have come out of my shell! I love to play with my brothers, run around the yard, chase squirrels and birds and toads and bugs and anything else I can find.

　　Mom says Im house trained and I walk very nicely on leash. I LOVE going for walks. I do not guard my food or toys. I come back in from outside when she calls (unless Im running the fence with my doggy friend next door, or chasing another squirrel.) I can get along with anyone.

　　Mom thinks I could easily go to any home, but that not every home would be best for me. New people and places still scare me and I will need humans who will be patient with me, not always wanting to pet me and hold me until I warm up to them. Mom says it took me about 2 weeks to get used to her and Dad. Now I like to be pet and be close to them. But being held is still scary for me, so Mom and Dad dont do that yet.

　　If you can be patient with me and allow me the time I need to get comfortable with you (and if you have another dog who is kind it will help a lot!) I will become a wonderful, loving companion for you. Mom says I am one of the sweetest and most gentle dogs she has met. But dont let her fool you! I still love to run and play with my doggy friends.

　　Mom thinks its not so much whether I am the right dog for someone, but rather, who is the right human for me? Is it you?

　　ABOUT OUR PETS: All of our pets available for adoption have been spayed/neutered, tested for heartworms, given age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and are on flea and heartworm preventative medication.

　　ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS: To give each dog the best possible home we require a completed Adoption Application.

　　Screening and approval by our Adoption Coordinators and a home visit
