Maxie's story

　　Meet Maxie! Maxie is new here, so our caretakers are still learning about her personality. She is 12-years-old and came to us through a shelter partner after her owner passed away. She is nervous of meeting new people but warms up after a few days with calmer energy people. On a recent adventure with a caretaker, Maxie did wonderful in the car. She jumped right in with excitement! She was wonderful with her caretakers husband and let him know when it was ok to pet her. She enjoyed a fresh puppaccino from Starbucks and enjoyed a stop at the pet store and a walk around the Riverfront! She was great on leash and overall a happy girl! At this time, we are not yet sure how she is with cats or kids and she is good with calmer dogs that arent jumping all over her. As we get to know her, we will let you know.
