Stewie *WAIVED FEE*'s story

　　Meet Stewie! Stewie is around 8-years-old, currently weighs 10lbs and was transferred from a high-risk shelter in Texas. He is an incredible little guy who wants nothing more than to be your little buddy. He is a lapdog at heart, hops right in the car and snuggles happily in his bed when he's looking for "me time." He is nervous in the shelter environment, but having been in multiple foster homes and on various sleepovers, he's proven to be exceptional when given the time to adjust and learn to trust. He walks nicely on leash, is housebroken and has so much potential to accept things he may be nervous about at first (such as being picked up). He has successful been in homes with other dogs so long as they are introduced gradually and they mind his space. He is also fine with cats and may do best with older kids, if any. If you're the "small-dog savvy" home that he's looking for, please come in to meet him! He would love a chance to prove what a great guy he is!

　　Stewie is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. He deserves a home without further delay, so his adoption fee has been waived as a thank you from DHA alumni Belle, who was recently found safe and sound with the help of DHA staff and volunteers.

　　He is available for adoption or foster, with the intention to adopt (aka a trial period only offered to select long-term fur kids or medical cases). He has been waiting 108 days as of 8/15/18 and more before that in another shelter. If Stewie sounds like someone you'd like to get to know, come spend time with him today!
