Collie - Courtesy Posting - Lucy - Large - Senior - Female - Dog
Lucy is the much-loved dog of a gentleman who just recently passed. After losing his wife, the man adopted Lucy from a shelter, at which time, she was two years old. Now that Lucy, too, has lost her companion, a family member is trying to honor a promise to find Lucy a loving home. This is what we've been told about her: "Although Lucy is 9-10 years old, she has a lot of energy for hikes. She is happy the rest of the day lazing around the house. She is ultra good with other dogs and runs away if they growl at her. If she is cornered by a dog she will only nip back until she finds an escape. Cats are a different story, she will chase them! She is great with people. (Although she can be) triggered by a knock at the door, a doorbell, delivery or diesel-engined trucks), she is quiet otherwise and is really super sweet to just about anyone that lends her a lap to lay her head or a hug. She is leash trained and really very well trained in general. She rarely ever jumps up on people and responds quickly when called. She is about 60 pounds and in good health." Contact Maria at
