HaHa (FCID# 04/20/2017-37 Brookhaven PetSmart)'s story

　　HaHa (FCID# 04/20/2017)

　　Hi my name is HaHa FCID# 04/20/2017-37 (Brandywine PetSmart /Foster), I am ~3 1/2 years... Beautiful, Shy, Affectionate, Demure, Careful and a girl who only wants to be loved. The name HaHa derives from the Japanese word meaning Mother.

　　HaHa was found under a porch filthy, hungry and very, very pregnant ... in fact she delivered five (5) precious babies in the trap on the way to Forgotten Cats! Kind humans and being touched were unknowns to this scared new Mom. There was something in her eyes and the way she cared for her babies that begged for her to be given a chance.

　　When HaHa first arrived it was obvious she was really afraid and appreciated if people would please leave her alone. The excellent care she took of her newborn babies exposed a very different part of HaHa's personality - gentle, patient and loving. She provided them something she had never experienced herself - to be handled and loved and have a great life from the day they entered this world.

　　All 5 babies grew into the most incredible kittens and were adopted within 48 hours of becoming available. At the same time her babies were weaned two orphaned abandoned newborns arrived needing a nursing Mom to call their own. HaHa stepped up to the plate and hit a home run giving these babies the same love and chance at life as her own babies!

　　And then there was only HaHa ... definitely unsure what to do or who she was in a home ... with people ... with other cats ... with no babies to love and care for. Could she make the transition to a forever home and would she be happy ? Her foster Mom saw glimpses of a cat wanting to be loved and there was no turning back or turning her back on HaHa. . And thus began a patient, respectful two year journey to turn back the hands of time and shower her with nurturing. She deserved no less than the same chance for love, happiness and wellness she made sure her two baby litters received.

　　HaHa has a sweet, loving side that will fully blossom when she's comfortable being in a new environment with new people. We don't know what happened in her past to make her so timid, but in her foster home she gradually developed trust, learned to play, and grew to welcome affection. She loves being brushed!

　　When you come to meet her HaHa she is open to gentle affection with new people as long as not startled when approached. At home after a while, she will join you on the bed or sofa for some quiet companionship - and give you her 'I love you for loving me' face! She prefers to give affection rather than to receive it, meowing and rubbing against you.

　　HaHa likes to rub up against your legs at mealtime and is very interested in any friendly resident cat - family and fosters alike - seniors, adults, kittens - age and energy equally welcome! HaHa does a good job entertaining herself, but would like another friendly and playful feline friend in her forever home.

　　In addition to a feline friend, HaHa's ideal forever home would have patient humans who are willing to love her unconditionally and let her adapt to a new home at her own pace. Other than that, HaHa wont need much to be happy - a few nice quiet places to hang out in, a few toys, and delicious cat food. HaHa has enjoyed good health, is a good eater, has used the litter box without any issues, scratches appropriate surfaces and chews/plays with her toys. As kitties go she is definitely a neat one in her grooming and behavioral habits. It's fitting that her personality is also super sweet and neat.

　　Please, please, please consider meeting and adopting HaHa. Her purrfect ending is finding you ... the person/family she has been waiting for to call her own. She is saving the best of what's to come for you and in return will love you forever.
