Labrador Retriever - Ida Mae - Large - Adult - Female - Dog

　　IDA MAE is a beautiful dog. As a puppy, IDA MAE was found alongside a busy highway. She's a great companion at home, a bit anxious in large crowds. She gets along well with other dogs, cats and kittens. We've fostered many. IDA MAE is very helpful in the kitchen. She's the pre-wash cycle for the dishwasher. She hops right into the shower at bath time. Given the nod, she'll jump into bed with you but is happy to sleep bedside. She has a playful side but doesn't require lots of attention. IDA MAE is just happy to be with you when you're home. Though not aggressive, she does bark when someone approaches our home. I like that and feel very safe with her around. When the mailman delivers, she barks but, if the door opened and he entered, she'd back away. Exposure to young children has been minimal. On the few occasions she was exposed to young children, she didn't care for them. I would suggest a home without children or introduce children slowly. IDA MAE is a trim 52 pound, adult female mixed breed and is about 5 years old (Sept. 2013). She is spayed, micro-chipped, and has her 3-year rabies shot. She is house trained.
