The Lancia name needs no introduction in the world of classic cars and we are thrilled to

offer this extremely low milage, pocket-sized Y10 - a product of the Italian marques golden

age - here on the Brentford Riviera.

Badged as an Autobianchi in its home market, the Y10 was the smaller sister to the

legendary Delta that dominated World Rally in the late 1980s, catapulting the Lancia name

into the classic car history books for eternity. Closely related to the Fiat Uno, the Y10 was

the more luxurious small car sibling, with extra attention paid to the interior and the rear

suspension set-up. Styling was clean cut and surprisingly aerodynamic despite its boxy

shape.

Powered by the excellent, long-lived 45bhp 999cc Fire engine, this car has recently been totally resprayed in its original and stunning shade of blue with a matching blue cloth interior. Less is more when it comes to small, practical Italian city cars and the Y10s interior is a masterclass in 1980s simplicity and straight-line styling.

This Y10 changed hands for the first time in its life in 2017, with a hand-written note

documenting the sale. At the same time, the car was given a new oil and fuel filter, new

belts and water pump, as detailed in the extensive paperwork that accompanies it. With just

over 20,000 miles from new, this charming and rare little city car is extremely low mileage for

a car approaching 40 years old. The condition of the car throughout (exterior, interior, engine bay, boot area and - perhaps most importantly - the underside) is rather unbelievable. An absolute time warp example that has clearly been adored and pampered by its previous owners.

MOTd until May 2024, this little Lancia is the perfect retro runabout - a rarer, more

luxurious alternative to the original Fiat Panda and Uno, from a car maker with a rally

pedigree like no other.
