Commercial Manager

Flexible and hybrid working + travel to central London office

Up to 75,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus

Boden Group are working with an FM client, who are looking for their next Commercial Manager to work on some of their global, high value healthcare and life science FM contracts. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven professional who is confident and proven in Commercial Contract Management. You will have excellent communication skills that will be necessary to build stakeholder relationships, manage disputes/claims and negotiate favourable outcomes with conviction.

Key responsibilities the Commercial Manager will have:

Margin improvement opportunity identification through Commercial deep dives (scrutiny of contract terms, P&L and client activity). Negotiate, agree, and execute contract variations. Settle disputes, pursue entitlements and defend claims (including within supply chain as a point of escalation). Contribute to the ongoing improvement and raising the bar for commercial and contract management process and tools across global accounts. Participate in functional workstreams/teams, where applicable, leading the thinking and delivering on action points. Provision of up-to-date Contract Exec Summaries. Deliver on-account training bespoke to terms and lifecycle stage of the Account contracts. Deliver off-account training by function/area (e.g., procurement, projects). Maintain exec sources of contract data, locally and aggregated. Review and interpret said data to provide management insight and benchmarking. Key attributes the Commercial Manager will have:

Degree qualified or equivalent (all degree subjects considered). Ability to demonstrate relevant knowledge, skills and experience, with typically around 3+ years in a comparable commercial role, including but not limited to contract negotiation and on-going account management. Strong commercial acumen and proven ability to affect sales and profit figures. Strong analytical skills and a measured approach to decision making, including good understanding of management accounts, in particular P&L. Self-motivated individual, experienced and comfortable with complex problem solving and providing solutions-based advice and guidance to multiple stakeholders. Proven track record of working with, educating and influencing a broad range of internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
