Trustees wanted to address the global response to homelessness

Depaul International is the parent organisation of a growing family of charities working to support homeless and marginalised people around the world. The Depaul Group currently works in seven countries, supporting over 20,000 people every year.

Our Vincentian Values and Ethos compel us to action, but also direct us to speak out against injustice and poverty, with the ultimate goal to end global homelessness.

Two key strategic partnerships help us work towards this wider ambition. The Vincentian Family Homeless Alliance (FHA) aims to galvanise work on tackling and preventing homelessness in over 100 countries around the world. And, in partnership with DePaul University in Chicago, we have established the Ruff Institute of Global Homelessness (IGH) to co-ordinate global campaigns, including working with the UN to bring about the systemic change needed to end homelessness.

The Depaul Group has been active in Ukraine since 2007, and we are currently heavily involved in the humanitarian response to the war in that country.

We are looking to recruit three new, independent Trustees to the Board of Depaul International, to fill current and anticipated vacancies and help guide us in these goals.

We are seeking exceptional individuals to champion Depaul’s Vision and support the Depaul Group through the next stage of development.

Specific skills and attributes we are looking for are:

– Professional HR experience

– USA connection/s

– Knowledge or experience of services for homeless people or those at risk of homelessness

We are committed to ensuring our Board is diverse and truly reflects the communities we serve. We particularly welcome all applications including from people who have lived experience of homelessness, and people from all marginalised groups, communities and backgrounds.
