Marylebone Cricket Club (the Club) is the world's most active cricket club, custodian of the laws of cricket and is also the owner of Lord's Ground, affectionately known as the "Home of Cricket". Working as part of a world-class stewarding team, you will play a vital role in the three pillars of event operations: safety, security, and service. Event Support stewards are required to undertake searches of the public to maintain the safety and security of Lord's Cricket Ground by preventing the entrance of prohibited items into the Ground. Event Support stewards are a specialist team trained to deal with conflict, disorder and any breaches of the Club's ground regulations. This role conducts ejections as authorised by the Control Room and provide a presence of authority on the Ground. This is to ensure the smooth operation of the cricket ground and the safety of all those who enter the "Home of Cricket". You will act in line with the club's own standards and values: smart, attentive and original.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
The demands of the cricket season mean extended hours and intense periods of work - including weekends - and the ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate personal resilience to manage this and still deliver their best work.
The ideal candidates will show strong customer focus, have prior experience working within a response team and have the ability to work under pressure.
Must hold a current SIA License and relevant professional experience in conflict management.

All match day stewards applying for this position must be available for 75% of major match days including two International Test Matches, One-Day International, T20 Blast fixtures and The Hundred tournament. This equates to working a minimum of 15 out of the 20 major match days in 2024.
