Head of Global Sustainability

Climate17 are working exclusively with a leading UK health & beauty retailer and have partnered to support in their search for a Head of Global Sustainability. This is a high-profile role, with the scope to build on and evolve a sustainability strategy that is underway, underpinning their brand and products.

The role is offered on a hybrid basis, with the need for office presence 3 days a week based at their Midlands facility. As the title indicates this role has a global impact and involves collaboration with colleagues in all regions, along with a wider network of stakeholders including regulatory bodies, NGO's and service providers. Responsibilities

You will lead with an entrepreneurial spirit with your key aim being the delivery of their 5 year strategy vision. The plan includes developing progressive science based targets, enabling business growth and meeting consumer needs.Working in a visible role and you will be an influential representative of the business, with the opportunity to attend industry events and establish yourself as an opinion leader.As a senior manager with a purposeful team, you will strive for best practice and excellence across compliance and key sustainability projects including: packaging, product, social purpose and environmental challenges.This is an all-encompassing role, reporting to a senior Director, with clear goals and a passionate commitment.

Requirements

At least 8-10 years' experience in product / brand sustainability, from an FMCG or similar industry.Has transformed sustainability strategy previously and lead on initiatives.Extensive knowledge and expertise across all aspects of Environmental Sustainability.Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and build trusted stakeholder relationships and work closely with internal teams.Able to navigate within a complex structure and work closely with internal teams.A driven, can-do attitude, with a positive mindset and
