An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health & Safety Advisor in Derby, who will play an integral role in maintaining and improving health and safety and risk management standards within a highly respected organisation in the not–for–profit and charities sector.

Description

Advise on all aspects of health and safety in relation to properties on a National basis.Carry out regular safety inspections and risk assessments.Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation.Develop and deliver health and safety training to staff.Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of all health and safety procedures.Investigate accidents, incidents and near–misses, and report findings.Contribute to the continuous improvement of health and safety standards.Act as a point of contact for health and safety queries within the organisation. A successful 'Health & Safety Advisor' should have:

A relevant qualification in Health & Safety.Experience in a similar role within the Social Housing or Not–For–Profit sector.Knowledge of current Health & Safety legislation.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.A proactive approach to problem–solving. Job Offer

An estimated salary range of GBP41,300 – GBP44,000 per annum.
