A fantastic opportunity has arisen for experienced Hygiene Operatives to join our esteemed client in Peebles, working towards a permanent role after 12 weeks successful probation.

Job Summary:

To clean packing station and equipment in methods that consistently meets company, customer, legal requirements, specifications and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain the cleanliness of the Packing Station in ways that meet the relevant standards including company, customer, health & safety, environmental and hygiene standards at all times.

Work in a safe, hygienic manner which is conducive to good working practice.

Ensure all cleaning tasks are carried out in accordance with the Company's Cleaning Instruction Cards (CICs).

Wear appropriate personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the job you are performing: High visibility waste coats and safety shoes worn at all times.

Achieve the required output and quality of work within the defined time

Complete hygiene cleaning tasks in a way that maximises time and specified standards.

Ensure that no unnecessary waste is incurred and dispose of surplus consumables, waste, scrap and non-standard product appropriately

Make equipment ready for future use after the completion of the process, cleaning plant, equipment and work areas using appropriate materials and equipment

Maintain effective and positive communication with colleagues, team leaders and managers

Clean equipment within the bounds of your responsibility and report defects to your manager which needs specialised maintenance.

Report or inform to your team leader relevant information that is required to carry out your duties.

Complete and maintain required records accurately

Adopt and demonstrate clean as you go within your work

Carry out other reasonable duties within the context of the company's operational requirements.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

Manual work requiring physical energy and capability

Ability to reach, bend stoop and kneel

Excellent attention to detail and cleaning to a high standard

Ability to multi tasks and prioritise

Ability to work as part of a team

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED

Ability to use own initiative and carry out duties in a timely manner
