About the role:
Join Lockheed Martin UK Strategic Systems, a key player in national security. As a Junior Project Accountant, you'll play a crucial role in financial administration and cost analysis for compelling defence programs.
Key Information:

Responsibilities:
You will gain experience and take responsibility for a number of areas including:
- Compilation and review of budgets using real-time data.
- Coordinating financial cost analyses, including cost allocation and control systems.
- Formal reporting for both long and short-term financial planning.
- Support for project completion, financial chart preparation, and labour analysis.
Budget Management:
- Compile and review budgets, ensuring adherence to financial administration standards.
- Coordinate financial cost analyses, setting up cost control systems, and preparing reports.
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare monthly/quarterly financial charts.
- Perform key month-end reporting tasks such as cost transfers, accruals, and revenue recognition.
Program Support:
- Assist in monitoring and tracking program expenditures and Earned Value Management.
- Interact with program and financial management personnel, advising on conformance with company processes.
Data Analysis:
- Conduct labor analysis, demand analysis, and spend profiles.
- Perform risk and opportunity analysis against output.
Invoicing and Certification:
- Support invoicing and monthly cost certificates for billing to the customer base.
- Perform month-end reporting tasks such as cash reconciliation and revenue recognition.
Skills:
- Knowledge of Enterprise Application Software - SAP preferred.
- Previous experience in a Project Accounting role.
- Financial and/or business management experience, preferably in MOD programs.
- Ability to think critically and apply cost analysis and management principles.
- Self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks/priorities simultaneously.
