Originally established in 1985 as the Campaign for Single Homeless (COSH), we became Solo Housing (East Anglia) in 1996 and are a Registered Provider of Social Housing and a Charity.

Since our inception, we've worked tirelessly alongside trusted partner organisations, including local authorities, fellow registered providers, charities and private landlords. Together, we support single people who are facing homelessness, or at risk of losing their home.

Our ambitions include steady but significant growth, acquiring and building new homes, to expand our capacity to deliver high-quality services to single people in need and clearly, we can only make this all possible by having the very best people playing an active part in our business.

This is a brand-new role and the person in it, will be expected use to use their highly developed skills, experience and pragmatism to lead our finance function, to ensure we are financially strong, work in the best possible ways and are open to scrutiny.

The postholder will report directly to the Chief Executive.

The right person will:

Hold a relevant qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) and have a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience (Essential)

Have high levels of IT skills including Microsoft Excel (Essential)

Have experience and be able to produce, understand and present good management information (Essential)

Have experience and be able to work with and support budget holders/others to ensure performance is understood and any necessary action is taken (Essential)

Have experience and be able to lead the Annual Statutory Accounts process, supplying information, managing enquiries, posting journals, etc (Essential)

Have an infectious passion for all thing accounting, great sector insight, love to problem solve and an upbeat personality (Essential)

Be able to balance the needs of the customer and the business to get the right outcome (Essential)

Have experience of being a great line manager (Essential)

Be a fantastic colleague and team player (Essential

Have experience of Xero Accounting and Inflo software (Desirable)
