The heat from the lamp is designed to alleviate pain and speed up the process of recovery. The Infraphil warms the skin and the underlying tissue in such a way that the blood-vessels are dilated and the flow of blood is stimulated. The blood brings with it the substances for re-building and nourishing the body tissues, thus healing is promoted and pain soothed away.
