About us

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly skilled project manager to join our small, friendly and hard-working team.

We are Laurelle Brown Training and Consultancy (LBTC) was founded in 2017, as a response to the persistent challenges and discrimination faced by racialised children across the services and support systems they rely on. We collaborate with leaders to tackle the complex equity and inclusion challenges they face.

We are a dynamic and busy organisation, with 5 staff members, and a pool of associate consultants and trainers that support delivery of our work. Our team work remotely, and attend team meetings in London (where the company is based) a couple of times a year.

We’re looking for a project manager with technical and knowledge skills. Someone who can deliver high-quality project management, value and impact across a range of client projects and programmes. You will champion results-focused project management effectively, collaboratively, innovatively and in alignment with our methodology.

You will have successfully developed, implemented, and completed complex projects and programmes; clearing obstacles to delivery; engaging senior leaders, establishing a productive virtual work environment; agreeing realistic commitments and identifying risks, dependencies and issues, ensuring resolution.

This role is particularly suitable for a strategic thinker with strong virtual project skills and an understanding of the children and young people sector in the UK.

Projects vary in nature; however, a third of your time will be dedicated to a long-term racial equity programme focused on improving adoption outcomes for Black children and communities across London.

A substantial proportion of our work focuses on racism, marginalisation and discrimination and as such we welcome applications from those with personal experience of these issues, and who are typically underrepresented in senior leadership roles. This includes individuals that identify as racialised, care experienced and/or LGBTQ+.
