American Staffordshire Terrier - Merry - Large - Young - Female

　　MERRY was found hungry and pregnant at a local gas station by an ARF volunteer. It was clear she had lived a hard life but her loving personality continued to shine through. MERRY tried her hardest to care for her puppies but due to her poor health six of her adorable puppies had to be bottle fed from one week of age. All of her pups have gone on to their forever homes, and now it's time for MERRY to find hers! MERRY is an extremely sweet and loving girl who adores people. She is probably the most affectionate dog I have ever been around. She wants to be close to you and will press her whole body against yours to be close. MERRY loves to have her head and belly rubbed and to give kisses. Any time she meets a new person, she flops on her back to have her tummy scratched. MERRY deserves to have THE best home ever and is ready to be a member of a family she can call her own! She is currently in a foster home with 3 other dogs and a human child. MERRY does very well in her foster home, since she has been integrated appropriately. She is an energetic girl, and will do anything to please her people. She enjoys taking walks/runs through the neighborhood and riding in the car. She knows basic commands and walks well on a leash. She is also housebroken. I would love to see MERRY in a home where she can be the center of attention since she craves human affection, but an only dog home is not a must. She tends to do well with most other dogs, however I would not recommend her to live with a small breed dog. MERRY is not a fan of cats, so a cat-free home is required. She also requires a home where she will live indoors as a member of a family. MERRY is a female American Staffordshire Terrier / Boxer mix and is approximately 3 years and 9 months old (Oct. 2013).
