　　PETUNIA is a Bloodhound and like her breed, she is a very mild mannered, kind and lovable dog. An ARF volunteer spotted PETUNIA on the side of the road as animal control was roughly dragging her to their truck. Our volunteer was so horrified by what she witnessed that she became committed to helping PETUNIA. Once she was finally in our care and realizing that PETUNIA could not walk without difficulty, it was discovered that her hip was fractured in several places. Along with a severe infection from overbreeding, PETUNIA spent several weeks resting and recovering from her various ailments. Now happy and healthy, she is finally ready for her forever home! PETUNIA is housetrained, wonderful with other dogs and cats and has such a playful (and sometimes goofy) personality. She is also loving, gentle and patient as you can see in her attached video. Because PETUNIA is a little older and does have some arthritis pain she will do best in a low key home with a family who understands that she sometimes she just needs to relax and have peace and quiet. PETUNIA is approximately 5 years and 9 months old (June 2013). She is a large dog and weighs about 63 pounds. PETUNIA is heartworm negative, up to date on shots, spayed and micro-chipped.
