Charlotte's story
This little lady is Charlotte - she isn't much bigger than a pocket pittie - only maybe 40 pounds or so!
And what a life Charlotte has had so far! She was brought to the shelter in January when she was found living outside with her three very young puppies. She herself is only about one and a half years old and was raising them on her own. Luckily, she was brought to Michiana. Charlotte was a wonderful momma but is now ready for the spotlight to be on her!
Charlotte is learning her manners her at the shelter. We are continuing to teach her polite behaviors. She is extremely treat-motivated and is willing and eager to learn! Please be committed to continuing her training - she can only learn what she is taught!
She is seriously the happiest girl. Charlotte walks around the room and makes sure to greet everyone. Then once she has said hi to each and every person, she makes her rounds again! We think kiddos should be about 8 years old or so with Charlotte. She's a ball of lovable energy! She never stops wiggling or wagging that tail!
She most likely would do best as the only pooch in the home. We are still watching what she thinks about cats so far. Charlotte has met a couple and really just seemed to ignore them. Cats may be okay for her with a proper introduction.
