Clairy's story

　　Hi! Im Clairy, Im a 7year old, 15 pound Shih Tzu mix Lady. I love to play fetch with squeaky toys and small balls. Chewing on stuffies is my favorite thing to do. I'm great on a leash, and I love going on walks. At home, I like to follow my foster mom around the house when Im not power napping and I snuggle right up to you at night time.

　　Im house trained and I've never had an accident in the house! I do really well if you are out of the house too, cause, well, I like to power nap as mentioned, so when you are away I get extra nap time in. Ive got some basic commands down. Im great at sit, stay and wait!

　　My perfect home would be a quiet, low traffic home with one or two adults. Im shy when I first meet people but I adore my people once I know them. Im working on being less reactive to strangers and dogs. I think its because my eyesight is a bit compromised and I am wary of new things, you see I have dry eye and I need drops a few times a day, but before I cam to Underdog my eyes werent treating so I the Vet thinks my sight might be a little compromised. But it really doesnt slow me down or bother me if I get my eye drops. Oh, the other thing is sometimes I have seasonal allergies (don't we all?) and I sometimes take Apoquel or CytoPoint and it helps me a lot.

　　I do have some dog friends I go for walks and play with, but they are pretty low key dogs, hyper dogs Im not going to be down with cause Im a mellow lady. But Id be perfectly happy as the only dog in the house. I also met a cat once on a walk and I was unimpressed so a cat I most likely would be fine living with. Im ready to find my forever home, is it yours?

　　Every Underdog has been spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, and is up to date on vaccinations. All dogs have had a recent visit to the vet as well.

　　We offer a 10% discount for seniors, veterans and students. All of our dogs are in foster homes. We have an adoption application, we check references and visit your home as part of our adoption process.
