Denim's story

　　Meet Denim! This 10 year old boy found himself at the shelter after his owner died. When he arrived into rescue he was suffering from an awful ear infection, was not neutered and needed dental surgery. He also has a heart murmur that does not require medication but he may need it in the future. He has been a total trooper for his multiple vet visits and surgeries and has officially been declared healthy!

　　Denim is a "young" senior. He loves to play with dog toys and enjoys perching at the top of a couch like a cat. He walks well on a leash and loves to keep you company on car rides. He is well behaved in public and he would happily accompany you just about anywhere! Denim is great during his vet and grooming visits and will make his future mama or papa very proud! Denim is housebroken but needed a refresher course upon arriving in his foster home. He's a smart little guy who happily wore a belly band while he learned how to go to the door.

　　Denim bonds hard with his humans. He believes his only job in life is to keep you company. He will follow you from room to room as if he is your shadow. He just wants nothing more than to be in your arms or curled up in your lap. He is a quiet, calm and loyal companion who sleeps through the night (in your bed of course)! He never makes a peep unless he hears you in the house and cannot find you. Then he will sing you the song of his people until you rescue him from whatever gate or door he is trapped behind. Denim is great with other dogs unless he is on your lap. All 10lbs of him will turn into a bossy alpha dog and will guard you like his little life depends on it. Once you plop him onto the floor he snaps right out of it and promptly returns to being a little angel with his canine friends. He would do best with other dogs that wouldn't be offended by his "macho man" attitude. Denim has also reportedly shared his home with cats in his previous life, but has not met one while in rescue. He enjoys older children and loves to be carried around and snuggled by them, but he has been quite weary of toddlers. We think he deems them as "lap" and "attention" competition and thus would do better in a home where he is the only "needy toddler" :)

　　Denim is a goofy, spunky guy and he will be sure to keep you laughing. You will never be lonely if you bring this little man into your world.
