Gaited - Sage - Medium - Adult - Female - Horse

　　Sage is a very pretty, well mannered, 8 year old, sound, Hackney Pony mare. She is bay in color, approximately 14 hands high (medium size) and is in good health with a negative coggins and excellent veterinary exam. Sage is sweet and friendly with people and does well with other horses, although like most mares, she wants to be high on the totem pole. She is currently pastured with two geldings and does well overall. She comes right up to people looking for a scratch or a treat. Sage is haltered trained and it is obvious that she has some very good basic ground manners. She responds quickly to pressure and is not pushy at all. She has not offered to bite or kick and stood well for the vet and farrier. She has no vices that we are aware of and is an easy keeper. We are told she was green broke to ride and drive at one point in time, but we have not had the opportunity to work with her just yet. We have no papers on Sage, only basic background information. Sage's perfect home would be a home with other horses as she is really not happy otherwise. She is recommended to an intermediate or experienced handler who would be able to work with her safely to start her back under saddle. Although she would be a perfect kid's size horse with plenty of room to grow, we recommend only to a youngster who would have the help of a professional trainer.
