Kipper's story

　　Hi! I'm Kipper! I am about 6 months old, and I've been told I am a beagle mix. When I first arrived at Grass Roots Rescue, I was timid, shy, loud, and loved to chew on my brother's leg. After landing in my new foster home, I have begun to find my confidence! I am no longer chewing on others' legs, and I am learning that it is alright if I'm left alone because my foster mom and kids always come back, so I only occassionally howl for company now. And boy! Have I come out of my shell!!!

　　My foster mom tells me I am a very smart boy because I have learned to sit, stay, and come in the short 10 days I have been with her. We are now working on walking nicely on a leash, but gosh, there's just so much to get excited about on walks!!!

　　I get along great with everyone!! I especially love kids because they play with me, and I get to sleep in bed with them!!! I play well with other dogs, and my foster's cats don't phase me at all!!! My foster mom tells me I am a good boy, and some luck person will be along shortly to give me my forever home!!
