My story
Lolita, such a darling!Hey guys, nice to meet ya! I am Lolita or Lola, as lovingly known by friends. I am a 4 year old, female Terrier mix, and 50 lb of sheer goodness. I was rescued by TAP and landed at my most amazing foster home where I am being showered by TLC. I have had some emotional scars from my past and love has helped me tremendously to get over those. I have been a great gal and have mastered bathroom and leash training. I have been spayed as well! I recently had a surgery to remove Mast Cell Tumors. I have been recovering well and staying happy and healthy. Periodic checkups will help to catch reoccurrences if any.Like I mentioned, I have had a ruff past that has left me timid and shy. I am wary of new people initially but I allow building of trust with decompression. I have started enjoying hanging around my people and have discovered the joys of a plush couch! I can cuddle hard and enjoy taking naps with people around me. I am good staying by myself too and always let my family know that I am indeed happy to see them again! I am still not used to seeing other dogs around and I would like to be the only dog at home. I am still wrapping my head around the fact that there are other dogs on the walk too! Cats cue in my prey drive, and I tend to get fixated on walks when I see them. With positive reinforcement and loose leash skills, I will learn to tolerate them outside. I am absoluteky wonderful with kids, and I can be super gentle with them!If you need a chilled-out dog at home, you have got me! I just need time and patience to trust my new family, and after that loyalty will be unwavering. I should be the only pet at home for now and I will appreciate a leader-like person who will train me with positive reinforcement and lots of love! I cant wait for my forever family, who will show me the ropes. My adoption fee is $300 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/ ##1040644##
