My story
Nanette is a beautiful, sometimes friendly/sometimes feral, polydactyl girl who has become quite accustomed to living indoors and lounging in her heated bed after fending for herself on the streets of downtown Greeley for several years. She is looking for either an enclosed, heated shop home or an indoor home where she won't be expected (but would be welcomed) to interact with people on her terms. Nanette was TNR'd at some point (thus the ear tip) and lived outside on her own for several years before she wandered into an apartment building. Kind residents took her in, and thinking she was friendly because they could pet her, took her the local shelter. Unfortunately, Nanette didn't thrive there. She was transferred to Animal Friends Alliance and went right into a foster home. Sometimes Nanette enjoys human company and loves to be petted on her chin as evidenced by her loud content purring and leaning in to a human hand. But sometimes Nanette just wants to be left alone. Nanette gets along with most other cats and is appropriately wary of the crazy dogs in her foster home. If you can appreciate Nanette's feelings and beauty and want a cat you can always look at but can't always touch, Nanette might be your girl! Please contact our Mulberry campus at
