Description

Thanks for viewing my listing!  I have been a net collector of vintage watches over the years and now I've reached to point where I would like others to enjoy my watches/accessories or finish off projects I don't have time for.I don't have many listings this week since I'll be out of town.  Thanks to those that have acquired watches from me in the past and your positive feedback. If you need to contact me, please be patient as I will occasionally be able to answer a few messages during my travels.  Stay tuned as there will be a few other listing in a couple of weeks or so.  For the time being, enjoy these interesting and uncommon vintages... Description: Rare King Seiko Hi-Beat 5 Automatic; Citizen Ace 21J Hand Wind - Amazing Ukiyo-e Vintage Mod DialsCondition: Pre-owned in Very Good to Excellent ConditionAccessories: Original KS bracelet and Modern Master of Time Box; Citizen red-lined Display BoxNotes: While the current Seiko watch community is familiar with modding, it's been done for years in Japan since the introduction of their large production wristwatches.  In fact, a rare set of King Seiko's were modified with applied dials with Ukiyo-e ("floating life") art that were classic representation of Japanese life in the early 1800s.  The King Seiko presented here has a section of the artwork "Two Geisha Girls" with one of the girls reading some script (not pictured on the dial).  It is believed this was applied to certain watches by artists after Seiko released the watches...I suppose we can consider them vintage aftermarket dials.  The 21 Citizen Ace, on the other hand, was a production hand wind watch produced by Citizen with the Hokusai s famous piece - The Great Wave off Kanagawa.  Part of his Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji series of woodblock prints from the 1830s, the painting is known and admired throughout the world and is perhaps the most recognizable piece of Japanese art ever to have been created.  Both watches are in working condition; service still recommended for daily use.  Original proper box and bracelet are on the King Seiko, while a signed vintage Citizen buckle and original vintage strap has been acquired for the Citizen Ace.  The Citizen box is likely from the 1980s but does offer a nice contrast the King Seiko "Modern Masters of Time Box".  If you really want these watches, you are welcome to purchase; no offers will be reviewed.  They will be shipped once I back into town.Once again, thanks for viewing!Given that this is a pre-owned watch, service history is unknown, water resistance is not guaranteed and warranty unavailable. Sold AS IS.Shipping: Priority ConUS shipping is free.  International shipping will be priced per eBay International Delivery (I will send the item to the US eIS depot and they handle the remaining transport). If you are restricted from bidding it will be only due to feedback or geographic restrictions.  Buyer will be responsible for all potential customs fees.Questions welcome.
