My story

　　Are you a special cat lover looking to adopt a special cat? Of course you are! All of our adopters and cats are special. But maybe you're EXTRA special and want to give Remy a home where he can be safe, well cared for and, just as important, be himself. Remy has lived indoors all of his life but never wanted to interact with people. He is a shy, fearful cat but loves to sit in the window and watch the world go by. He plays occasionally with a feather toy and will eat off our hands, but really does not want to be touched. If he's in the right mood, we can sometimes pet him on the forehead while he eats. Remy was best friends with his previous feline roommate (they would often groom each other and sleep together) but he does not appear to like the other cats here in the shelter. He was reportedly afraid of the dog in his previous home. Do you want to go to sleep at night knowing that you're amazing and doing something many people would not by giving a cat like Remy a home? He very well may never be the affectionate friend you were perhaps originally looking for. But he will be another warm body to love and admire, and we all need that. Remy is available as a Foster-to-Adopt (FTA) cat, so you don't need to make a commitment right away. Take him home for a bit and see what you think.
