Shep's story
Adoption fee on this dog is $300.
Shep is a very handsome, 55 pound, three year old black and tan male. Shep was a stray from a local shelter, who arrived there with a major injury to his front leg and a dislocated rear hip, likely from being hit by a car. His front leg was amputated before he was transferred to us.
Shep has undergone another major surgery on his hip and has been receptive to all medical treatments and attention he has received. Shep is currently recovering from his hip surgery and will need additional, slow walks until he is fully recovered. Due to his need for recovery, small children are not recommended.
In the current foster home, Shep is living easily with two large male German Shepherds and one female Golden Retriever and three cats. He has been a very sweet, quiet, gentle little boy who follows his caretakers and likes to be close. Shep is not a fan of being alone and can be vocal in letting you know.
He is very receptive to affection, new people, and is currently learning basic commands. He also appears housebroken.
