Very heavy piece of furniture so I believe it is all hardwood. It is a dark mahogany color but not sure what kind of wood it is. There is a side door with shelves inside and 3 other shelves to hold VCR or DVD or other electronics like game sets. There is a hole in the back of the piece for cords to go through.
