My story

　　Ten year old Stanley is a super sweet and friendly beagle boy who loves everyone! He is great with other dogs and loves every person he meets. He loves to go on daily walks around the neighborhood and he is constantly on the lookout for squirrels and rabbits to chase. He loves to explore his back yard and take naps in the sun on his deck. He loves to go for car rides and--being a beagle-- he loves to eat! Occasionally he plays with toys and sometimes he gets the zoomies and runs around like a puppy! He sleeps peacefully in his crate each night or when no one is at home. Stanley is very quiet for a beagle -- he only barks occasionally, when he has a good reason to, such as when he wants to come inside.Shortly after Stanley came to their home, it was obvious to his foster family that he had some health issues. He was diagnosed with rectal cancer and, thanks to the generosity of FORs supporters, he was able to undergo surgery and chemo. After his cancer treatments were complete, Stanley was also able to have a badly-needed dental and quite a few of his teeth had to be removed.Stanley is such a sweet and affectionate boy! Throughout his ordeal he remained patient and happy. Now he constantly wags his tail, as though he is grateful to feel good again and to be able to enjoy life. His foster family is so glad that this precious boy was given the chance to have the secure, happy, healthy life that he so richly deserves.If you are interested in learning more about Stanley, his foster mom would love to talk to you. Stanley has been neutered and microchipped and he is current on heartworm preventatives. This sweet boy will be a loving companion for a special person or family!
