My story

　　Sunflower is a gentle and playful girl. She gets along very well other dogs and cats in her foster home. Her favorite toy is an empty cardboard box, and she loves to steal the cat toys. Sunflower collects things and takes them to her favorite napping spot - just in case she needs them later.

　　Sweet Sunflower has been through a lot in her life already! She was originally rescued by a family who saw her get dumped. They kept her through her pregnancy up until her puppies were ready for new homes. She came into our program at that point, and we discovered that she was heartworm positive.

　　Sunflower received treatment for heartworm in mid-January. She will need to be re-tested in mid-June to ensure that she is cured.

　　Sunflower is house trained, and weighs 35 lbs.
