Turtle Top Pop-Top Roof Insert To Build A Full-Size...
Jun 13, 2024
Description

  Hello!

Have you looked at or priced conversion vans or small RV's for camping, weekend get-a-ways or tailgating???

Would you like to Build a Full-Size Camper Van of your own???

Well, we have a Turtle Top "Pop-Top" Camper Roof Insert for Full-Size Van!

(Just The Top - No Van Included Here!)

This is a Very Rare find now as I only knew of 2 others in existance when we took our old camper van apart at 305K miles several years ago!

I was told there was one in Florida from a Ham Radio Operator who saw photos of mine...

... and I saw photos of a van with one for sale in Minnesota or South Dakota on the internet 4 or 5 years ago.

As far as I know TODAY - I may have the last one left!!!

Unlike the Westfalia pop-tops on the old VW camper vans that only tilt up on one end - This top lifts up at both ends and has a closable screen on each side of the canvas!

  This fits Full-Size Van ONLY!

This makes a huge difference for camping as it provides room to stand up for getting changed...

... AND with the top and the side screens open it provides a "chimney draft effect" airflow that makes those hot Nascar & summer weekends survivable!

You could really make the Ultimate Tailgate Party Machine with this!

The full top is about 4' 11" Wide by 9' 4" Long...

... stands about 20" Tall Open and about 6" Tall Closed...

... and the opening for the roof is about 4' 4" Wide by about 8' 6" Long.

This also has a white diamond pattern tuck & roll padded headliner!

I put this one away intent on getting another van with lower miles in the next couple years and setting up another camper van (handicap) and I've had it since about 2003.

The top itself here is in good shape, but I would have new canvas sewn for it and I would also put a new top to roof rubber seal on it.

  AS FOR FIT...

I had it on an '82 Dodge Full-Size Extended Van as shown in the photos...

... and I know the Dodge Van's used the same roof contour/profile from the early 1970's ('71-'73 range) until the end of the full-size Dodge Vans being built & sold.

YOU MAY be able to fit it to a Full-Size Long/Extended Body Chevy GMC or Ford Van...

... but you may have to do some work trimming the bottom edge of the fiberglass top to match the roof contour/profile of the roof of your van OR possibly make a "raised ridge" surface on your roof to meet the contour of the ends of the top as they are.

There's NO SHIPPING on this one - MUST be picked up in person!

  $500.00 FIRM

IF you think the asking price is too high I'm tempted to make a $5.00 Gentleman's challenge for you to go find another one for sale - ANYWHERE!!! (Good Luck!!!)

Also Willing to take the following bikes as part trade...

1 Elgin Mens Or Ladies Bikes...

Trailmate Desoto Trikes - 1 Speed or 3 Speed o.k...

1940's JC Higgins Mens Or Ladies Bikes...

... and MAYBE MTH "Premier" Series PRR O Scale Trains!!!

  Thank You & Talk Soon!

  Blessings!

  Will & Wendy,
