This stylish zippered travel bag was part of "Winter Holiday" (Item #975), one of the original 23 Barbie doll outfits introduced by Mattel in 1959. Made until 1963, Winter Holiday included everything the sophisticated and fabulously popular "Teen-Age Fashion Model" would need for a weekend jaunt in chilly weather: striped pullover, knit leggings, leatherette jacket, red mittens, and, to carry her chic fashions, a red-and-black plaid tote bag with black patent leather accents. Adorable on its own and essential for completing the Winter Holiday ensemble.
