I have a very wonderful Vintage MERCURY Electric Sewing Equipment in a timber closet. It's a DELUXE Model 1953. and was made in Japan. The machine was located in an estate and will be MARKETED as FOUND. It does POWER UP. yet I never ever actually "checked" it. The motor mentions MORSE ELECTRIC MOTOR and the whole thing is wonderful and very tidy looking. If interested, please come by and inspect it out. It may work excellent. Just request Booth # 6.
