Your vehicle will be de-registered at DVLA as soon as it enters our site via our direct link with their database in Swansea. This means that the DVLA know that you are no longer responsible for the vehicle from the time it enters our site. A certificate of destruction will be issued by G.W & G Bridges Ltd immediately meaning there is no risk of you receiving parking tickets, or fines issued from that date onward. We can even provide you with an e-mail copy of the certificate.

G.W & G Bridges Ltd located in Crawley, West Sussex has been established for over 50 years. Fully permitted by the Environment Agency and local council, directly linked to the DVLA and are members of the Vehicle Recyclers' Association (VRA) ) – the trade association for the vehicle recycling industry. We are licenced by the Environment Agency as a Waste Carrier (CBDU109255) and an Authorised Treatment Facility - ATF (EAWML 83155). And we are also registered under the scrap metal dealers act (SMDA13) with Mid Sussex Council licence number LI/16/2248. These are all legal requirements.

Any car disposed of that is deemed to be 'scrap' or an end of life vehicle (ELV) must have a certificate of destruction (COD) issued by an ATF such as ours. That is the law. Under SMDA13 it is illegal for any operator to purchase a scrap vehicle using cash. At G.W & G Bridges Ltd we can offer payment by way of cheque or bank transfer.
