A client of ours in the Ipswich area are recruiting a Production Planner to join their team. This is a full-time position working Monday - Friday and paying between 35,000 - 40,000 per annum depending on experience.
Your key duties in this Production Planner role will include but are not limited to:
Release purchase orders and follow-up order acknowledgement.Perform a sanity check on the MRP and ensure that the suppliers receive a weekly updated schedule.Ensure continuity of production and on time delivery of materials from the suppliers.Implement follow up actions.Maintain the systems to ensure correct parameters are maintained.Ensure the system is updated from the Plan for Every Part (PFEP).Assess volume requirements versus planning assumptions.Monitor the integrity of the Bill of Materials (BOM) and manage inventory accuracy.Compare inventory levels against agreed target levels.Present KPI's and implement Corrective action plan.Ensure material management is aligned to new product introduction.Other duties as required.
Skills and Experience required to be considered for this role:
Experience within a similar role essential.Previous experience using an ERP or MRP system.Proficient in using Microsoft packages.Excellent communication skills.Ability to analyse data.Experience within a manufacturing and production environment.
