I am looking for individuals to complete a small and wonderful team whose job it is not only to support me in all aspects of my every day life, but more importantly to help me LIVE the life I want to live the way I want to live it.

You will be working with and supporting a bright and happy, direct, 52 years old, disabled gentleman, who is electric wheelchair dependent.

You will be a cheerful, kind-hearted people person, outstanding communicator, adaptable, up for a challenge, resilient, hard-working, have bucket loads of initiative with a great sense of humour.

You MUST DRIVE and hold a full clean UK driving license.

I enjoy a wide and varied social life including trips to the theatre, cinema, gigs and comedy nights. (Imagine all those gigs and events you could potentially support me at!)

I am a passionate self-confessed environmentalist and animal lover and live as sustainably as I can.

Hours: Although there is some flexibility for additional hours, this role has core hours which need to be covered by the team. These can be discussed.

Typical tasks to include: Getting me up, personal care, meal and drink preparation, feeding and seeing to the cat, some household chores (including clothes washing and ironing, dusting, hoovering etc), transfers to and from wheelchairs using a mobile STANDING hoist and some shopping/trips etc.

This list is not exhaustive.

Previous experience is preferred but not essential. Common sense, being responsible and well organised, and being able to remember a straight forward routine is the essence of this role.

Are you proficient in the kitchen? (I am not talking Gordon Ramsey but competence is essential).

Are you able bodied and physically fit? This role requires a certain level of fitness.

Do you have a current DBS? or are you willing to apply for one?

Can you provide 2 professional references?

Do you have the right to live and work in the UK?

You will need to have some flexibility in your time/schedule as you will be working with other members of the team & from time to time provide emergency cover or short term sickness and holiday cover.

You will shadow a highly experienced member of the team so that you can fully evaluate and learn quickly the essentials of this varied role.

Probationary period is 3 months.
