Description

A bike I built for myself in 2020, and raced in Vintage for part of the 2021 season. Got my tail whipped in that class, so midway through the season I switched back to EVO class. Since then, I've used it sparingly on the trails. I'm a 125 guy, and this bike is just too fast for me. I really should keep it, as it's like riding a brand new bike, but I have another project I'm thinking needs completing, and I just don't ride this.Started with a frame and a swingarm, I either had these parts from collecting them, or sourced them as I went. Here's the rundown of everything that's happening here:Balanced & rebuilt crank (By SBR)New OEM long (1989) connecting rod1989 cylinder - bored, ported by Eric Gorr (1.00mm over) - Wiseco piston1993 Pro Circuit pipe w/ 1990 stinger welded on (pro)Boyesen RAD valve intakeNew PC silencerNew spokes front/rearVapor blasted cylinder, hubs, head, swingarm. linkage, carburetor, calipers, front master cyl.New radiator/hosesAll new wheel/swingarm/linkage bearings/sealsRebuilt shock w/ Racetech spring (by SBR)New Renthal barsNew clutch cableOEM titanium Yamaha footpegs from 2005? YZ250OEM shifterNew plastic, except side panels and tank (tank is OEM and very nice)French Georges Jobe tank/shroud decal kitNew fork guards1996 YZ125 triple trees/rebuilt forks/rebuilt front brakesNew sprockets/chainNew seat coverNew Steahly flywheel weightSurely more as well, just can't recall everything. Bike is a ripper, no two ways about it. ZERO flat spots in the power curve; just pulls from idle to a very nice top end. Faster than my 1994 YZ250. I put the flywheel weight on it to try and tame the power a bit, and it worked. It was their lightest option, so it just takes the edge off. Every bearing and seal on the entire bike was replaced, and all seals, rubber, pads etc rebuilt in the entire braking system as well. Bike feels like it's only 6 months old. No rattles, clanks, etc. Balanced crank makes a big difference as well. Bottom end I built this from was an absolute cream puff, and the transmission had almost zero wear on anything. Dogs were perfect. Frame was sandblasted and painted white, and has the requisite boot wear as shown.Suspension set up for vet B rider at 185 lbs. Pipe is NOT the prettiest at the head; some dings and dents as shown. Nothing that affects performance, but lacks the clean aesthetics of the rest of the bike. I was having a cone pipe made for it, and the guy making it flaked on me right before the race season, so I came up with this hybrid Pro Circuit unit. It complements the motor awesome. DO NOT come at me with offers of ANY sort! I'll either get what I'm asking (a fair price IMO) for this bike, or I'll keep it. Not a distress sale. Buy today, race today. Needs ZERO to race/ride.Paypal/eBay deposit, and Cash, Cashier's check, money order, Certified Check for balance.Glad to help coordinate delivery/pickup, but please reach out before purchasing if you have any questions. No title, but bill of sale. Thanks!
