　　Created and released in celebration of the fortieth anniversary of the 1968 Shelby Cobra GT500KR, this piece has a mere 210 miles on the odometer, and has been autographed by the legendary Mr. Shelby himself.

　　Similarly to its namesake, the 2008 King of the Road packs a walloping dose of Ford performance power, and features a Ford SVT-engineered 5.4-liter supercharged V-8 with a Ford Racing Power upgrade pack which increases horsepower to an estimated 540hp, with torque of 510 ft/lbs., courtesy of the revised ignition and throttle calibration, along with a cold air intake system which replaced the stock unit.

　　The powerplant is mated to a Tremec TR6060 six-speed manual transmission and 3.73:1 rear axle ratio. Shifting is courtesy of a Ford Racing short-throw shifter which made its debut on the KR.

　　This Serial #1 Shelby GT500KR is surely to be a collectible piece of Americana.
