This is a drawer from the mid 18 century or earlier brought back from an old house in Italy. It is a great storage drawer, good for magazines, books, files and all kinds of items. There is evidence of past woodworm, but no active woodworm now. It has been kiln treated. I say this because do not be alarmed if a little powder falls from it from old woodworm. It's very old and has lovely patina and depth from the many years it was polished and waxed. Lovely carved frame. It was once part of a 4 drawer chest in my grandmother's house in Venice, Italy.
