My story

　　My name is Anya and I am a brown tabby & white domestic shorthair. I am a spayed female and I am 8 years and

　　5 months old. I am here because I was given up by my owner on 08/12/2023 due to the fact I didn`t do well with the other pet in the home. I am a low energy cat and I will need an owner with some prior pet owning experience. I do not have a history of trying to escape the home, but the shelter staff always recommends owners be mindful that I do not accidentally sneak out on their way out the door. I can be good with men and women. I do not do well with young children, as they make me nervous. I cannot live with other cats and I cannot live with dogs, because they also make me nervous. I am a very sweet but very shy cat. I will need to live in a quiet home with someone who will be understanding of my nature and my shy but kind demeanor.All cats are tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, and cats over 6 months of age are tested for heartworms. They are also tested for intestinal parasites and receive routine dewormings. Cats are vaccinated against distemper and rabies, receive a flea preventative, are spayed/neutered before adoption, and have a microchip. Adoption fees include the initial automated registration of the microchip at the time of adoption.
