My story

　　All of our dogs are housed in private homes, we do not have a store or a shelter. We do not show dogs to interested parties until they have an approved adoption application. My name is Cher because of my beautiful hair. It is so black that it is almost blue! My foster-mama calls me Lightfoot frequently because my feet barely make a sound as they touch the ground. I am a survivor of being a teen mom, but I don't really know how old I am because those early days are a blur. A girl as pretty as me should not have had to live that life. I am petite, weighing about 50 pounds, but I'm working on adding a few more with all this good food and treat s! I think I can be dog, cat, and kid friendly if I have a strong leader. I don't know how to make friends yet, but I am trying. Cats are soooo exciting! They smell so good! I want to ... no, I'd better not. I'm very sweet to my people. My favorite thing in the whole world is treats. Treats are even better than a bowl full of kibble! I will do anything, a-n-y-thing, for a treat. I have learned Potty, Sit, Down, Kennel, and NO! I'm doing great with all those, but especially NO. It's so hard not to find the cat and get to know it better, but I am learning! I saw a chipmunk this week and enjoyed chasing it through the yard. WHERE did it go? I like to get my leash on to go outside, there is so much to sniff! I don't have good leash manners yet (I pull), but I am learning! I like my crate, my safe space, because when my foster-mama says "Kennel," she delivers the treats! I'm not really house-trained, but I haven't had any accidents in the house, either. All of these rules are new to me! I'm smart and a fast learner, especially when there are treats involved. If I had a human job, it would be Safety Patrol. I'm always alert, checking on every little disturbance in The Force. No movement, no sound, no scent goes unnoticed. I am also VERY good at binge-watching Netflix. My adoption fee is $250. I'm spayed, up to date on shots, microchipped, heartworm negative, and current on heartworm and flea prevention. The adoption application is at the website:
