Collie - Dodger - Medium - Young - Male - Dog
DODGER is a fun-loving boy! Found at a local business he was emaciated, injured and could barely lift his head up when rescue arrived. He was nervous at first but once he found that we were there to help him he became the happy little guy he is today. That tail is nonstop! As a stray we believe DODGER had been hit by a car and was left untreated. Due to the impact from the car he was left with a permanent limp. DODGER pays no mind though, he plays and runs like any dog out there. He would love to have a companion to play with. He is good with big/small dogs and even good with cats! He constantly tries to play with his foster's two cats and they don't want any part of it. DODGER will play fetch as long as you keep throwing that toy and he will bring it back for another round. His favorite toy is a small soccer ball that he likes to have kicked around for him to fetch. He does excellent in the crate and can be left for long periods without making a mess. Not once has he had an accident in his crate! Because of his situation from living on the street he eats like every meal will be his last. With the purchase of a special bowl he is now eating slower and at times doesn't eat at all if he doesn't want to. Which is great progress! The bowl will be given to his new family to go along with him. He is currently learning sit/stay and is doing really well with the commands. DODGER would make a wonderful addition to any family. DODGER is a male Collie / Basenji mix and is approximately 1 year old (June 2013). He weighed about 30 pounds when he was rescued and in now a healthy 47 pounds. DODGER is up to date on shots, neutered and micro-chipped. If you are interested in DODGER, please contact us at
